We are looking for an experienced Web Developer to create e-commerce websites for our range of clients.

Job Description

This role is best suited for a developer with a broad interest in e-commerce. We are looking for someone who can understand the commercial implications of UX design, to help our clients increase their online sales. They must have a good design aesthetic and an excellent eye for visual details.

Key activities / responsibilities:

  • Delivering bespoke e-commerce websites on the Shopify platform.
  • Ensuring compatibility with a range of contemporary web-browsers.
  • Maintaining consistent coding practices.
  • Managing version control workflows.
  • Applying the design guidelines prepared by the design team.
  • Assisting with the configuration of client Shopify account and catalogue preparation.
  • Monitoring the performance of live accounts – technical audits and commercial considerations.
  • Working with clients to shape technical and commercially successful e-commerce proposals.
  • Writing e-commerce articles for LinedUp’s blog.
  • Running quarterly Shopify Meetups
  • Guiding/managing a Junior Developer

Core skills required:

  • HTML / Liquid template generation
  • SASS – CSS
  • Javascript frameworks – jQuery
  • PHP
  • Relational database design – MySQL
  • Version control – Git

Preferable knowledge in:

  • Shopify e-commerce platform
  • Shopify Slate framework
  • Bootstrap 3 & 4
  • PHP Laravel
  • API development
  • Email marketing – Klaviyo, Campaign Monior and Mail Chimp
  • Google tools – GA, GTM and Search Console
  • Adobe suite – Photoshop
  • Sketch

Personal development:

The successful candidate will be given an annual budget to spend on their own selection of training books, conference fees or any other training courses, alongside a subscription to Team Treehouse or Code Academy.  They will also have access to all the latest Adobe Creative Cloud software.
