The Schools Development Lead will deliver and develop the schools programme and will also have responsibility for proactively increasing the reach of the programme.

Job Description

The  Schools Development Lead will deliver and develop our schools programme which includes a range of courses and trainings. Our Ripple effect programme is our most established. This involvest wo of our team working intensively over three days with ten young people and two of the adults in their school. The programme provides a structured framework for social and emotional learning based on Restorative Practice.The young people learn about themselves and each other and take increasing levels of responsibility, potentially changing their relationships with authority. We seek a diverse group of programmeparticipants with a variety of lived experience and invite them to talk about a range of issues relating to inclusion and exclusion, building their potential for teamwork coaching younger students and leading restorative practice development in their school community.In addition toleading on the development of these and other trainings, the Schools Development Lead will develop relationships and partnerships with schools and communities to increase the number of young people and schools who access our training.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic, individual with drive and energy who is committed to social justice and who is keen to develop their leadership skills and experience. We are anticipating applications from candidates from a range of sectors with differing work and life experiences.The role involves delivery of programmes and training as well as building relationships with colleges and universities to support the on-going development of a restorative culture in their establishments. Both the two roles include development and growth responsibilities and we see the potential for the 2 appointed candidates to mutually support each other and collaborate in developing and taking on further leadership area within RJ Working and contributing to strategic development and growth of RJ Working.
