Job Description

To provide estimates and detailed quotations for the supply of Kensa heat pumps and associated equipment for both new build and retrofit properties.
To assess the thermal characteristics of properties based on floor plans, sections & elevations. This may also include interpretation of SAP reports, EPC’s and online data/mapping. Use this information to prepare an accurate estimate/quotation using our specialist software. This will include calculations for government funding in the form of the renewable heat incentive (RHI) for both domestic and non-domestic schemes.
Assist the sales team to compile proposals, using existing templates, ensuring an accurately delivered solution for the client.

Key Tasks:

  • To gather construction information about existing or planned properties using a variety of resources including architects plans, engaging with clients, SAP reports & EPC information.
  • Interpret the properties occupancy and usage including domestic hot water demand and peak heat loads.
  • Specify Kensa equipment and accessories based on the clients specific needs.
  • Assist the sales team to prepare estimates and proposals for the client.
  • Converting estimates to MCS compliant quotations based on more detailed heat loss information and an EPC
  • Review and maintain the estimating software with the IT team.
  • To support the sales team and client with pre-order technical information and guidance.

Person specification

The successful candidate will, be enthusiastic, ambitious, able to work independently and as part of a team. Good attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines is essential. Ideally would have some relevant experience in a similar role or industry.

Due to an increasing number of enquiries and market opportunities, Kensa is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Sales Estimator to join its busy and well established sales office.

Kensa Heat Pumps operates from two main sites, one in Truro, Cornwall (production, administration & technical support) and one in Exeter (sales/marketing & compliancy). The role would be predominantly based from the Exeter office, you may occasionally be required to attend internal meetings or visit sites.
