Padstow Brewing Company have created a new role of Sales and Marketing Assistant and are looking for a dynamic graduate to join their award-winning Brewery and Tasting Room in Padstow, Cornwall

Reporting to the directors, the role is varied and challenging and the successful applicant will have responsibility for increasing our profile and increasing sales for both the Brewery and our Tasting Room. 

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Develop, implement and maintain a sales and marketing strategy, within agreed budget.
  • Identify potential new customer bases for targeted activity, plus fresh markets for inventive product offerings.
  • Create new relationships with businesses, leading to secured regular sales.
  • Create, implement and maintain digital marketing campaigns and our online presence.
  • Identify, plan and deliver events and exhibitions.
  • Investigate and recommend new products, merchandise and branded goods.
  • Compile and deliver a fortnightly marketing and sales report.
  • Provide office, shop and telephone cover as required.

The Person:

As well as qualifications and experience we are just as interested in you. We’re a small team, you need to fit in. We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A great team player, but equally good working alone and using initiative
  • Articulate, an excellent communicator (written, telephone and face-to-face)
  • Outgoing and confident, with a good sense of humour
  • Driven by challenge, happy to work hard, good with targets
  • Well organised, numerate, analytical, accurate, fussy about details

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree level qualification in marketing/business/PR or similar. If not, a convincing argument
  • Significant business to business experience with a commercial mindset
  • Commercial experience of, and a creative approach to marketing
  • Proven experience of building sustainable customer relationships
  • Sales experience and demonstrable achievement of sales targets
  • Experience of digital marketing and successful commercial online activities
  • Good IT skills, proficient with all Microsoft office applications
  • A keen interest in the Food and Drink Sector, although direct experience is not essential

We have a small team; everyone is important and everyone contributes equally.

Points to note

This role will require travel so driving licence and own car is essential.

Some activities will take place at weekends and Bank Holidays, and these will form part of core hours.
