An exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales and Customer Experience Manager to join our brilliant team at Padstow Brewing Company.

Job Description



The successful candidate will manage and grow retail sales in the Brewery, in our town centre Tasting Room, through our online website and at external events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve agreed sales targets across all retail channels through:
    • Increased footfall and sales value per customer in the Tasting Room
    • Increased footfall and participation in brewery events
    • Increased online sales
    • Managed external events
  • Improve our online presence and brand awareness through website, social media and digital marketing
  • Improve utilisation of the Tasting Room Upstairs Bar as a tasting and event space
  • Deliver training for Tasting Room and Brewery staff to achieve the highest level of customer experience and sales
  • Introduce a customer loyalty scheme across all retail channels improving customer co-ordination and growth in our customer base
  • Ensure consistency of sales and the sales experience across all retail touch points

Essential Experience

  • Sales experience in a B2C or B2B role demonstrating successful sales growth
  • Marketing experience in a commercial role demonstrating successful marketing strategies and brand development
  • Website/social media/digital marketing management demonstrating improved brand awareness, increased market presence and increased sales
  • Staff management experience delivering training and ensuring quality
  • Implementing/utilising loyalty programmes/CRM to improve customer data collection, satisfaction and sales

Desirable Experience

  • Retail management demonstrating a focus on the customer experience and sales growth
  • Event management
  • Experience of the drinks and hospitality industries
  • Visual merchandising experience

  • Graduate educated
  • A real passion for detail, results and quality
  • Strong interest in beer and the drinks industry
  • Strong initiative, creativity and self-motivation
  • Excellent communicator, persuader and listener

Padstow Brewing Company was founded in 2013, and now employs a team of dedicated staff to produce great beer and support our customers. Sales have grown substantially and sustainably, while recent expansion has increased production capacity. We are financially secure and fully independent.

We have an enviable reputation as a premium, high-quality producer and have over 25 awards to show. We intend to remain a small producer and not become a supermarket commodity.

We have a very diverse range of products and are adept in making beer styles from our National award-winning Pilsner to wheat beer to smoked stout.

Job Specific Note

The role is for a 40-hour week, normally spread over 5 days. As the Tasting Room is open 7 days per week and some events are at weekends, some weekend working will be required for this role.
