Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide high quality, personal assistance and administrative support to the Service Director for Economic Growth / Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Chief Executive.

The role will deal directly with, and be a key point of contact for elected Members, LEP Board Directors and partners, in particular central government and the private sector. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to fulfil this role.

The role will work with senior management across the Council contributing to effective working which will require the postholder to develop a good knowledge of all services provided by the Council and Local Enterprise Partnership.

Interviews are expected to be held on 19th July 2019.

You will have the ability to learn how Cornwall Council and the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership works. You will have a good understanding of Board and committee processes including taking responsibility to prepare and dispatch agendas, take notes and following up action points. Ability to problem solve and act on own initiative.

You will have knowledge and understanding of diary systems and sufficient responsibility for managing emails for senior management.

You will have NVQ3 or an equivalent qualification or demonstrable experience and knowledge working in an administrative capacity.
