We are looking for an Office Administrator to be based in our Truro office.

Job Description

Community Energy Plus is a dynamic charity working to tackle the impacts of fuel poverty across Cornwall. We use a wide range of approaches to make change happen, based around our telephone based advice service; we work directly with local householders to help them tackle the issues that prevent them living in warm, dry homes. We have a dedicated team of expert advisers who deliver a range of projects, who need administrative support to achieve the best for our clients.

You will be supporting our team of Energy Advisors and Caseworkers, by engaging with clients and partners to offer the highest level of service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with administration experience to work within an established and busy charity.


Company Description

Community Energy Plus is a multi-award winning charity that has been delivering sustainable energy projects and advice since 1998. Our mission is to tackle climate change, promote sustainable energy and reduce fuel poverty. Our team has extensive experience of providing specialist outreach support to over 320 community energy projects; we have secured over £2.1m for community projects towards a total value of over £4.4m.

We are keen to fill this position as soon as possible, and will make an appointment as soon as we have identified a suitable candidate. Therefore, an early application is recommended.

  • Contract: Ideally this is a full time role, but we are open to part time/flexible working arrangements with the right individuals.
  • Duration: Initially, a 1 year fixed term contract (3 month probationary period) with the potential for extension.
  • Location: Based at our office in Truro, but with opportunities for flexible/home working after initial training.
  • Salary: The full time equivalent salary for the role is £19,775. (Pro rata for part time roles).
  • Start date: ASAP
