Job Description

This is an incredible opportunity to drive the delivery of the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’s (AONB) Monumental Improvement Project. This project will place people at the core of our efforts to stabilise up to 40 scheduled monuments across ten of the 12 sections that make up the AONB, enabling you to experience some of Cornwall’s finest landscapes and know that through your commitment and drive you are helping people to help conserve and enhance these integral features of the Cornwall AONB.

For the Project Manager post we are looking for someone with a passion for delivering community-based heritage projects as well as an experienced project manager with a successful track record, that can be evidenced from working on previous National Lottery Heritage Fund and/or Historic England funded built heritage projects. You should also be educated to degree or equivalent level, qualified in PRINCE 2 or to Association of Project Management Practitioner level and have a background in delivering complex community-based projects where you have gained the skills to successfully manage, support and deliver the involvement of a broad spectrum of stakeholders and partners in successful heritage projects. Your experience in grant funded project management should ideally be at the development stage where you played a demonstrable, pivotal role in developing the detailed requirements of a final or delivery stage application with key funding partners.

The Cornwall AONB team work closely with a wide range of public, private and voluntary organisations as well as supporting the work of the independent Cornwall AONB Trust.

This post is temporary for 12 months with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
