Job Description

The role of the Intervention Support Worker is to; 

  • Promote positive experiences and aid recovery and wellbeing through working with animals and nature. 
  • Encourage and engage children, young people and adults and support them through offering various courses, physical tasks, arts, crafts and animal interaction. 
  • Create and provide varying bespoke interventions to partnership and other agencies and institutions in order to attract service users. 
  • Create and form constructive working relationship that helps the young person develop social and personal skills.

Company Description

The Hugs Foundation works towards recovery and wellbeing in meeting the needs of school aged children from age 8 upwards, young people up to the age of 25 and adults.

The Hugs Foundation provides methods of intervention for alternative support and engaging in nature. We work with adult services, schools, local hospitals, county council, mental health organisations, Youth Offending Team, adult and youth support services, social services, looked after children and Young People Not in Employment Education or Training, among others. 

The interventions are tailored to meet the individual needs of the patrons who come to us for support and vary from building a person’s confidence through to Employability Skills, to do this our staff work in collaboration with other professional institutions.
