Junior Digital Designer – Truro, Cornwall
Swoop delivers Software-as-a-Service to the Retail and Brand industries to enable better, faster and more cost-effective marketing in physical spaces. We’re entering an exciting time of growth and innovation. Having been developing our product, Colateral for a number of years, it’s due to undergo a new phase of expansion and design-led improvements.
To support this growth we are looking for a Junior Designer to join our team. With a minimum of two years’ industry experience within a Digital Design role you should be ready for your next move and a step up in responsibility and pace.
We are looking to appoint a good all-rounder in a varied and challenging role within a small team. You should possess creative flair and exceptional organisational skills be enthusiastic, driven and not scared to get stuck in and involved in problem solving.
The role would suit a someone with a naturally analytical mind, someone who loves to ask questions, to get to the root of the problem, and use research to generate well thought out ideas. We are looking for someone with a broad range of interests, who can work independently, and is also willing to share ideas.
The ideal candidate would have the confidence to bring discussions to the table and to leave no stone unturned. Someone with a thirst for knowledge who isn’t afraid to think outside of the box, draw on their experience and to use that to think differently and feed into innovative ideas.
The role encompasses research, ideas and prototyping through to final designs. It will involve working within a small design team who’s focus is on UX and UI. As we are currently undergoing a full rebrand and new direction for the company and product, there will be requirements for the candidate to be involved in branding and marketing projects internally.
This is an exciting, interesting and challenging role, which will be a great opportunity for the successful applicant to become an integral part of the team.
Qualifications: to degree or equivalent
Remuneration: £20,000 per annum, 25 days of holiday and Share Options (post probation)
- Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
- General understanding of HTML and CSS.
- UX and UI experience
- Great communicator

- To have an understanding of branding, marketing and advertising and the ability to transform strategic thinking and brand positioning into creative ideas
- Be confident to work with minimal supervision when required and the ability to work to tight deadlines
