The University of Exeter is a World leading research institution with a significant range of academic, research and training offers. It has strong relationships with policy makers, businesses, charities and other non-academic partners in these sectors and makes a real impact on society and the economy.
We are looking for an experienced, driven manager in the Regional Engagement Team who will serve as the University’s expert professional for building collaborations with organisations across sectors. The IPDM will lead on mining, renewable energy and extreme environments. There will be extensive opportunities to work with world-leading research concepts and to network and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have experience of working successfully with partners from across academic, public and private sectors and will have extensive knowledge of public sector trends and research, education innovation opportunities and the knowledge exchange needs of the sector. They will be responsible for coordinating and driving existing activities in this area, identifying opportunities to deliver greater value to these sectors, working with researchers from across disciplines and colleges, and engaging with policy makers across the UK and globally.
Innovation, Impact and Business (IIB) is the professional team that supports and drives this critical work. Its key aim is to secure significantly greater value and impact from relationships with partners drawing on the University’s education, research and physical assets. This includes research collaboration, commercial services, new venture development, skills, placements, and education partnerships. The Impact and Partnership Development Manager will work as part of the Regional Engagement team in Cornwall and be based at our Penryn Campus.
