The role of the Employment Broker is to find job opportunities using Labour Market intelligence for people on the Foundations for Work project in Cornwall.

Job Description

By understanding and meeting the vocational needs of clients, the Employment Broker will provide information to clients and keyworkers in a professional and supportive manner which enables them to access employment.

The successful candidates will:

  • Liaise with employers and build robust relationships to increase job opportunities for our clients across the county.
  • Work with clients and Advisors to identify clients job goals and support the client into sustainable employment.
  • Build and maintain a database of employers and vacancy data providing Advisors with timely access to vacancies and key data
  • Spend time getting to know local employers, in order to negotiate job opportunities that meet each individual’s strengths, needs, abilities and preferences.
  • Meet and exceed job outcome targets
  • Undertake mandatory training as required
  • Have a good understanding of mental ill health
  • Will use initiative to plan, prioritise and organise effectively.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle
