PLP www.penwithlandscape.com is looking for an experienced fixed term (until 30 June 2023) Ecologist to lead on our nature conservation activity and to work particularly closely with our Farm Environment Officer as part of our strong staff team.

Job Description

Penwith Landscape Partnership is a £3m integrated programme of action for wildlife, sustainable farming, archaeology and countryside access over the Land’s End Peninsula. This diverse partnership has Cornwall Wildlife Trust as the lead partner and employer of the staff team.

PLP www.penwithlandscape.com is looking for an experienced fixed term (until 30 June 2023) Ecologist to lead on our nature conservation activity and to work particularly closely with our Farm Environment Officer as part of our strong staff team.

The ability to work well with farmers will be crucial, as will strong knowledge of wildlife, habitat management and agri-environment schemes. There is a requirement for good project management skills and an understanding of how to work well with volunteers.

Cornwall Wildlife Trust is one of 46 Wildlife Trusts working across the UK. With the invaluable support of our volunteers, members and corporate supporters we manage over 50 nature reserves, including an island for wildlife and people in Cornwall. We also work with other organisations and landowners to protect and connect wildlife sites across the county and inspire local communities and young people to care for wildlife where they live.
