This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the Cornwall Fire & Rescue, Community Safety and Localism Services.

Job Description

 The Data & Performance Systems Special is part of the service business team and as such is responsibility for developing and supporting data management and reporting tools, regular reporting and project specific support. The reporting system is comprised of a Microsoft SQL Server reporting and analysis platform using our warehouse and SQL databases.

The roleholder will be required to use a variety of methods to accurately report data across the business, including reporting to senior management regularly and liaising with management to provide the business intelligence and data required to drive and support strategic business decisions.

You will also help to drive performance management by providing information, data and reports to support statutory returns, such as Freedom of Information enquiries and Home Office data returns.

About you
 The ideal candidate will have experience in SQL coding (or similar coding language) in order to create and maintain data reports, identify performance issues and help identify the root cause. The successful candidate will have some experience of data collection, transfer, extraction, processing, manipulation and data quality assurance processes, as well as experience in providing accurate and relevant data for different audiences.
