Beach Retreats are looking for a Content Co-Ordinator (marketing) to join them in this newly created role.

Job Description

Beach Retreats is a self-catering holiday letting agency based in North Cornwall, looking after a portfolio of contemporary holiday lets within walking distance of a beach. Due to our continued growth, we have created a new position to help the Brand Marketing Manager deliver industry leading marketing and guest experiences. The successful candidate is likely to be a new or recent graduate with a passion for the written word, who can tell the story of a contemporary holiday on a Cornish beach through considered and creative writing, working with photographers and our network of suppliers to deliver the brand guidelines through a broad range of channels.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work under the direction of the Brand Marketing Manager to help reach the company's marketing goals and objectives.
  • Writing, reviewing, editing, and updating content for the website, newsletter, social channels, and other marketing materials using the brand guidelines and tone of voice document.
  • Curate the best guide and network in all Beach Retreats locations to ensure our guests make the most of their time in Cornwall.
  • Update the website via a CMS (Wordpress or Umbracco)
  • Organise and attend property photoshoots and create compelling property descriptions which convey the ‘wow’ factor of the location and interior of our holiday lets.
  • Help support the PR team with journalist stays.
  • Liaise with photographers and stylists for both property and lifestyle shoots.
  • Keep up to date with marketing trends to ensure that the business is able to take advantage of relevant opportunities.
  • Support the ongoing development of the website.
  • Deliver all output in line with the brand guidelines.

Preferred experience:

  • Experience in a tourism or hospitality environment.
  • A marketing, English or tourism qualification.
  • Familiarity with website CMS systems.
  • Evidence of writing skills

Personal skills:

  • Self-motivated and confident.
  • Excellent written and grammatical skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in writing, proofreading, and editing.
  • The capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • A good concept of social media and how it works.
  • Computer literate.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Organisational skills.
