Outset are looking for an experienced admin professional, preferably with excellent knowledge of European Regional Development Fund guidance. This role will be key in establishing the eligibility of the individuals engaging with the Outset 4 project.

Job Description

Specific duties:

  • Play a role in monitoring systems and processes and look for opportunities to make improvements to increase efficiency
  • Clarifying eligibility of all enquiries into the programme, by gaining evidence and information from participants
  • Clarifying which outputs a client is eligible for and therefore the amount of support available
  • Collection of initial output data when clients register/start their business
  • Maintain the client trackers
  • Monitoring clients’ hours of support received
  • Highly accurate CRM, tracker and client form data entry 
  • Collection and recording of business registration evidence
  • Liaising with clients directly to gain decision making data
  • Deliver excellent client service at all times to clients, subcontractors, partners, funders and colleagues
  • Minute taking when required
  • Point of contact for telephone and email enquires
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of the European Regional Development Fund Guidance
  • Other administration tasks as required by senior managers

Person Specification:



  • Relevant commercial, academic or vocational experience
  • Exposure to working within complex partnership settings
  • Strong team working skills
  • Experience of using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Drive, Zoom, Skype


  • Previous experience working on an ERDF programme and a deep understanding of the output indicator guidance
  • Experience of working with other stakeholders in a project
  • Experience of working with business support agencies, public and private sector organisations
  • Experience of Basecamp, Daylite, Formsite and Eventbrite

This role is dedicated to Outset Cornwall 4 and is therefore funded by European Regional Development Fund, HM Government and the Outset Foundation.

This role will be predominantly office based, but will involve collection of client paperwork, therefore a driving license and access to a car are essential.

Number of roles available:  1.0 FTE

Fixed term: 31st July 2022 (an extension until Dec 2022 has been applied for).
