The products produced on our CNC machine are high-end bespoke components for motor launches and superyacht tenders using Biesse Klever, we are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and the ability to spot potential issues before they arise.

Job Description

Ideally we would like to recruit someone who can also support the wider team with team lead responsibilities and who is happy to step into a supervisory role as and when required.   Maybe you had thought about a career in Design Technology or considered teaching but are now looking for a different direction to take your career

Typical duties and responsibilities:

  • Working with the wider team produce components for production
  • Ensure that work is carried out meeting production and planning timeline
  • Working with the wider Cockwells team, plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, plans, materials and specifications.
  • Plan stock inventory by anticipating need, placing orders and confirming delivery.

Personal skills and qualifications:

Essential

  • Relevant Degree level qualification
  • Attention to details
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced team environment with continually changing priorities
  • Creative person with ability to problem solve
  • Ability to manage own time and that of others while prioritising workloads.

Desirable

  • Our ideal candidate may well have studied Design Technology or a similar, relevant discipline
  • Technical skills in the marine industry
  • Proficient in the use of CNC Machinery
  • Some supervisory or people management experience
