Job Description

We are looking for professional, creative and enthusiastic people who are interested in starting a career in Commercial Management.

These posts are an exciting opportunity to join a new team at Cornwall Council. The Contract and Supplier Relationship Management Team has been formed to provide professional advice to Contract Managers around the organisation and drive future improvements. 

As part of this team, the role holders will undertake a number of placements with different Contract Management Teams across the Council and they will play an active role in contract and supplier relationship management. The apprentices will be responsible for sharing good practice and learning across the organisation in exchange for learning from more experienced officers.
These posts are a great opportunity to learn a set of skills which are becoming increasingly important in a wide range of workplaces.

The posts will require someone who is adaptable as they will be working with a number of teams over the two year fixed term.

 As a newly established team, this is a significant opportunity to help build a positive culture around contract management across our organisation and establish a positive reputation for the Contract and Supplier Relationship Management Team.   Thinking creatively, challenging current approaches and delivering differently will be essential aspects of this work and you will have the opportunity to lead on the development of some areas of this new approach to contract management.
